MyPendapat: If you need fully working multimedia desktop, I recommend this distro for a test. Just loaded this LiveCD and follow on screen instruction. Don't afraid with your existing windows since it's running fully from your CD ROM. But, bare in mind that running this distro from LiveCD will not give you a perfect environtment, the OS will run a little bit slow if you have outdated PC or Laptop.
My suggest, try first in LiveCD, see either your hardware detected and working as usual and be brave to do hardisk installation.
