1. Please be aware on your car's windscreen demister - especially at back side - in simple word, demister lining is a heater filaments embedded in the windscreen.2. If you own Waja's model, you know what I mean by demister lining.
3. Please take a look at this picture. Switch on the demister button * not more than 1 minute* before it crack the whole screen.

i had a wira under the hot sun when a small boy from opposite my house threw a small boulder(about 1cm diameter) and shattered my windscreen like yours...could be too much heat and hit by something? i heard ninja stone (ceramic) have the same effect too.

rauff and chris, thanks for your comment..by the way, it was my brother-in-law's car and this happen on his wedding day.
bad news - send to proton center for replacement (on the same day) but they refuse to give us solid answer either they will replace it for free or not! also, need at least 3 weeks before they can take any action! location - taiping.
so, we just go to nearest junk shop and bought a new windscreen RM150 and installation at another workshop around RM80..
rauff, claim insurance is not worth for this situation, I think. Suppose proton should replace it without blablablabla too much.
chris, in your case, insurance did cover or not? and same with this, claiming insurance for minor defect not worth for our NCB, am I correct?
